ALEXANDRIA ROBINSON-SUTHERLANDSince 2012Upskilling Creatives It all starts with a vision I just love what I do Alexandria Robinson-SutherlandUpskilling Creatives I built my success through various community projects in arts and education, over-arched with the value of well being, as this is where my passions lay. Comfortable with a degree of risk I work on evolving new, ‘U-Neek’ approaches to further develop creative people. Approaches that can lead creative people to life enhancing opportunities. I believe in the importance of everyone having access to art and I believe in a fair society in which creative people can realise their full potential. Together we CAN achieve this. PURPOSE. It’s my purpose to support creative minds to nurture exciting ideas and to make more informed choices. PASSION. I want to improve access and participation in the arts. I’m passionate about elevating creatives and communities, through education and learning through the arts. Showing how art changes lives. TALENT. It’s important for creative people to have more informed choices. Together we can make a difference utilising your talents, enhancing relationships between communities, businesses and you, the Artist. CO-CREATE. It’s necessary for creative people to have a ‘U-Neek’ platform to flourish and thrive. I understand that creatives do things differently and together we can co-create around your goals and talents. Building a society with a greater understanding and appreciation of art. Media Features The Artist not to be Judged by her Cover 8th June 2016 Alexandria Robinson-Sutherland: The artist not to be judged by her cover If someone had asked me to describe how I picture the modern artist, I’d assume moody and edgy. Understated in charm and appearance; perhaps even slightly egocentric on some level. An enigma who is intently serious about their artistry. The type to shrink from a crowded room and who spends more of their time alone than not, but there again, I don’t spend much time with visual artists and there are always exceptions to the rule. SK by Design, Visual Artist, former Art Teacher"Exhibiting artworks from U-Neek Walls is a good opportunity for businesses, whether they normally have artwork on display or not. As it raises awareness of the business and also allows staff to have the opportunity to view artwork, they usually wouldn't have the chance too."Louise Moore, Harris Moore, Director"In 2013 I exhibited my artworks with U-Neek Walls. This experience helped me develop my skills and gave me the confidence to talk about my work to people. I believe it;s well worth getting involved with U-Neek Walls, if you're a Visual Artist, looking for help to develop professionally."SKETCH, SKETCH Your Mind, Visual Artist"This (Art Social) is SUCH a good idea. I am very glad to see it happen :) hurrah!"Alex Claridge, Urban Coffee Co., Development Chef"Alexandria is one of the most creative, focused and business minded people I have ever met. Art means everything to Alexandria. She works hard to get her work out there and her efforts to embrace emerging Visual Artists, though platforms such as Project U-Neek, really speak volumes about her character. I rarely come across people as young as Alexandria, with such qualities and I have so much respect for her. Alexandria is a pleasure to work with and a Role Model for so many people around her."Selina Harrison, Local Writer, Birmingham"Project U-Neek was an inspiring movement that no one else other than Alex could have conducted. Alex is that vital Chess piece that can win you a game and be detrimental if lost. Her passion for the Art of others, shows that there are people out there willing, helping and giving back to their community, rather than take from it. A confident young woman with a wealth of success to come. To me Alex is the face of Art in the West Midlands."Shakes Harris, Founder and Managing Director of TAUK"It is hard being any kind of artist in the creative world, but what Alexandria Robinson-Sutherland does is prove the ‘hard’ part of anything can be kicked to the curb. Alex is a Visual Artist, Creative Entrepreneur and has become an empowering female figure, in the local community. Every time I see her huge smile as she speaks about working on the next artistic takeover – I just know she was made to do this. Alexandria has gone on to create and deliver opportunities and events, such as Project U-Neek and Art Social, which provide Visual Artists with the necessary creative platforms whilst engaging new audiences and fellow creatives to Art. It's always a pleasure to hear what this gifted young female is working on, and planning next. Art is for everyone – Alexandria makes this possible, by bringing it to life for us."So Ella, Founder of DB84 Movement "You must take action now that will move you towards your goals.
